I kept reading about the burger from this place, but a picky eater of a friend recommended it and that sealed the deal.
Entering the place, you are greeted with rock music and beer taps, definitely a place for parents who don't mind taking a break from the kids. In other words, it's a bar, but it's tame during the day which was the time I went.
But, let me warn you! This place will make you think you got the Mandela Effect, because if you think you knew what a cheeseburger tasted like, you didn't!
Technically, I ordered the Classic Jack Burger, but I personally think it qualifies as a cheeseburger and the best one I had so far at the time of me writing this entry.
What is the secret to this crave worthy burger? Is it the 100 percent Wagyu beef patty which is soft, tender, and juicy? Is it the caramelized onions that contributed to the flavor adding some texture? Was it the thinly sliced Dill pickles that gave it some zest or was it the house-made JB sauce?
All those were very tasty ingredients, but the cheese stole the show. It had this macaroni like quality that smothered the tender Wagyu patty. It was comfort food and the onion had this slight crunch to give it some texture.
There was a ketchup bottle in front of me, but I didn't need it. My burger had a slight sweetness already. I was impressed!
The fries had the same melted cheese quality. It was delicious, but even better with the garlic sauce. It was like eating macaroni, but with texture or a nice potato crunch. The special garlic sauce gave it a nice zest.
The guy at the bar also offered me a fried Oreo. The classic cookie fried inside batter, it was comfortingly warm and the white cream of the Oreo was liquified. The powdered sugar was overall sweet with a punch of chocolate and the batter was soft like a nice warm pancake.
So, if you're looking to take a break from your kids and their happy meals and want to get a good burger, then check out this place for grown ups!
