"Fresh Chicken. Fun Atmosphere!"
With the sounds of festive pop music, the chattering of customers, and the reflective glow of disco lights, this was Day 2 of the grand opening of Raising Cane's in Chesapeake, VA.
The reputation? Delicious chicken fingers obviously in demand due to the crowd of people inside and waiting outside in a line as if this location was an amusement park ride!
Inside was an eclectic atmosphere disco lights and a picture of Elvis! Fun and delightfully tacky!
I ordered the Caniac Combo consisting of six chicken fingers, coleslaw, a whole ton of crinkled fries, and buttery toast. I also had it with the caniac sauce.
Although the crinkled fries were basic, it wasn't bland and the chicken fingers had a nice combination of some saltiness, but not overwhelming. It was moist, crispy and tasty! Also, not bland!
The toast was a show stealer. Perfectly baked with no burnt marks and well buttered!
The coleslaw was cool and crispy!
The Caniac Sauce can be addicting, but puts up a wallop of flavor. It's the company secret, but it's creamy, tangy, and it has some sweetness.
The sauce enhances everything even the toast! I recommend it, so delicious!
Overall, try this place after everything calms down after the well deserved grand opening!
My meal today was worth the 15 to 20 minute wait because it was fresh and the staff are on their A game. That's why I wanted to try and the top notch quality showed it!
For a place named after a dog, this is definitely a place a lot of humans agree to enjoy!
****I saw some people getting into the door directly, so i followed, but I was told that was mobile and I was requested to go back outside. I wanted to try it fresh!
